Softball ScholarshipThe precision and power required of a softball player is only matched by the demands of fastĀ  reflexes and raw power. The AIS Softball Scholarship program was established in 1993 by the AIS and the Australian Softball Federation as a non-residential program with national training centres in Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia. Additional satellite programs are based in the ACT and South Australia, while the administration is centralised in Melbourne.

Kere Johanson, Head Coach of the program, has represented New Zealand in four World Championships and was also Head Coach for the WA state team in 2002, and WAIS Head Coach until 2009. Providing a network of elite coaches and specialists, Kere and the team work tirelessly to maximise the performance and development of the national women’s team.
